Glad you found your way here:
All ACG classes meet in the Art Computer Graphics Lab
(rm. 1024, or 1024-A) for hands-on lab sessions, and in the ACG
Demo
Room
(rm. 1025-A) for lectures. Both rooms are on the 2nd floor of the 1000 Art
Building.
Important dates for this semester are in class schedule make sure to
get one and save it for the semester.
- last day to add classes
- last day to drop classes with refund
- last day to drop classes without 'W'
- last day to drop classes
- final examinations
Supplies, needed by the second class meeting:
- Your photographic student ID
- Every time you walk into the lab for either lecture or lab, you must
clock in by scanning the bar code on the back of your ID at the lab tech's
counter. When you are done for the day, scan the bar code again on your
way out.
- These hours are automatically recorded by the Academic Computing Technology
office.
- Fee payment
with balance of $0.00
- With your Student ID in hand, bring the $0.00 balance receipt to the
ACG lab were you will be entered into the time keeping program, and receive
a one time use password. Don't use password until told how to change
it to personal PW.This password is to be used in all computer lab on campus.
- You only need to pay the lab fee once per semester to gain access to
all computer labs on campus, regardless of the number of classes you are
enrolled in, and one password will work in all labs.
- Storage media for your work
- Available options: 3.5" Double-Sided High-Density diskettes do not
work on Macs; 100 MB or 250 MB Zip disks, CDs, or 256 Mb Thumb drives are
great.
- Make sure to always have duplicate copies of all your files. Backing
up your work is an essential part of 'safe computing'. Defective disks
are not a good excuse for not turning in your assignments.

Grading and Attendance policies:
- ACG classes are 3-units classes. The grade is based on class participation
and satisfactory completion of the work assigned.
- If your work is a correct repetition of the instructor's demonstration,
you will receive the middle grade of 'C'. If the work shows creativity,
imagination, and interpretation beyond the instructor's demonstrations,
you may be assigned an 'A' or 'B' grade.
- You are encouraged to submit for extra credit any additional work you
create using the programs covered in the class.
- The grade resulting from extra-credit work is averaged with the grade
resulting from the assignments--but only if it raises your final grade
for the semester.
- Attendance is mandatory.
- Academic Honesty
You are expected to abide by the College's Academic Honesty requirements,
as published in the College catalog. Click here to see a copy of the Academic Honesty policy

General comment:
Many of our students have made web pages as part of an assignment
or extra credit projects.
This may be something you might like to do also.
A student's grades will be based with an emphasis
on design of material rather than techniques of how to develop a project or
use a application. Bonus credit can
be earned for excelling in both areas.
Please drop me an Email if you have suggestions that may help you or
future students in our program. All our instructors are here to make you
succeed, not to hold you back. Please help us in this effort by telling
us what you need that we are not supplying.
