Supplemental Reading:

Classroom in a Books with a CD is a series of self-paced lessons that allow students additional studies.
Self-paced CD's may be checked out for most of our softwares used in the Lab - They are developed by Lynda Weiman.

The current version files are on line and are to be used for classroom assignments. They may not be taken out of room 1024.

Magazines: A wide variety of subjects matter is available in the lab.

EVALUATION OF STUDENTS:

The final course grade will be based on a cumulative number of points from the laboratory projects and lecture information presented.

6) Final Projects 20%
7) Portfolio Review 20%

Reviews or Classroom Critique:

Every four weeks there is an assignment review (the end of each unit of instruction). This includes the presentation of the required assigned work in front of the class. If the work is a basic repeat of the work presented, the student will receive a "C". If the work shows creativity, imagination, and interpretation of the work presented by the instructor, the student may be assigned an "A" or "B" grade. The showing of extra or additional work demonstrating, your understanding of the material may result in "B" and "A" grades. This work is to be mounted for fromal presentation.

Materials:

You will need the following items for the Next class:

Your Photographic Student ID - EVERY TIME YOU WALK INTO THE LAB FOR EITHER LECTURE OR LAB, YOU MUST CLOCK IN. These hours are reported to the instructor and may used in grading. For each hour outside of scheduled class time the Graphics Lab makes money to buy new equipment and supplies.

TWO ZIP DISKS - about $ 50.00 for three (3) disks.

Label disks with your name and use one for backup.

Disks can be purchased from Fry's Electric, Price Club, Target Stores, Egghead, Software house, and FC Bookstore.

One Color Printing Card - The color print card is required if you wish to print on the colleges color printers. The card cost $12.00 and is only available from the college bookstore.
